Throughout the late 1980’s, business at the waterslides had been declining in the face of the popularity of the beach and competition from nearby waterparks. They were removed and in 1991, Jenkinson’s Aquarium opened for business. In 1998, Jenkinson’s turned back the clock with the addition of a fun house.

Starting Friday, May 28th, Jenkinson’s Beach will be open daily, with lifeguards on duty, through Labor Day, weather permitting. New for 2021! What kind of animals are in Jenkinson’s aquarium?
The aquarium is consisted of two floors with various animals from under the sea sharks to an on land owl. I did notice a few animals that seemed to have been injured/ill such as the seals. Turns out they were stranded on shore and rescued; yet, due to its blindness its best to not release them.
