After the K6 it will have a bit less grunt down low, but still plenty of it. As long you are a bit of a ‘mature’ rider a 1000 is absolutely the choice for touring IMHO. Consider some rearsets as some of them will put your feet more back and even further down than the oem’s. A new seat will improve comfort.
