Please select the start group relevant for your participation Runner (35-50mins), Jogger (50-80mins) & Walkers (80+ mins). Please note that the Elite categories are by application only and must be expecting to finish in under 35 minutes.
How does Round the Bays work?
The start line is located downtown at Auckland on Quay St beside Spark Arena. We then sweep through the bays, finishing in St Heliers Bay. Once you cross the finish line you’ll be gifted with a Pump water and a shiny medal – a real collectable!
Is Round the Bays going ahead?

Who Organises round bays?
The idea for Round the Bays came from Auckland Joggers Club founder Colin Kay and the club has been organising the event ever since. According to the round the bays website, 34,361 runners and 1 wheelchair entered the 2020 event. The course is flat as a pancake – and just as pretty as it shows off the Hauraki Gulf.
Where do you park for round the bay?
Roads will be closed all around Auckland CBD and St Heliers Bay for the event, so parking is limited. Parking near the start line can be found at the Britomart, Downtown and Arena car parks. For those getting into the city on public transport, the start line is an easy 1km walk from Britomart.

The distances range from: 20km family ride where you can soak up some of Melbourne’s most iconic sights with friends and family on fully closed roads. 50km iconic ride which is the perfect opportunity to ride over the iconic West Gate Bridge to Williamstown and back.
