How do you practice music theory?
Here’s how to practice scales:
- Start by ingraining your Major scales, minor scales, and the modes of the major scale (ascending and descending)
- Practice each scale in different intervals (in 3rds, 4ths, 5ths, etc.)
- Practice each scale in triads (1, 3, 5 > 2, 4, 6, etc.)
- Practice each scale in 7th arpeggios (1, 3, 5, 7)
