How long can a mepilex dressing stay on?
The Mepilex® Ag foam dressing can stay in place up to seven days. Only the outer dressing (gauze bandage) needs to be changed each day. Keep the dressing dry.
How often should mepilex border be changed?
Mepilex® Border offers up to a 7 day wear time. Mepilex® Border is designed for superior2,3 fluid retention. Initial strikethrough does not necessarily mean that the dressing is saturated. The dressing was constructed to make the strikethrough visible so that you can determine when it is time to change it.
How do you use Mepilex Border Lite?
- Recommended Use. Non/Minimally Exudating Wounds.
- Cleanse the wound in accordance with normal procedures. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly. Remove the release films.
- Mepilex® Border Lite may be left in place for several days depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding skin.
Is mepilex a dry dressing?

How do you remove mepilex dressing?
To take off the Mepilex Ag, gently lift a corner and peel away the Mepilex AG from your burn until the bandage comes off. 5. In the shower or bathtub, wash the burn with a clean wash cloth using a mild soap (for example Dove®, or Ivory®).
Can mepilex dressing get wet?
Mepilex Border dressing is water resistant but not waterproof. You may shower, but do not take a bath, go into pool or hot tub with this dressing. Patients are responsible to purchase additional dressings.
